Easter Breakfast and Next Breakfast - Christ Is Risen.  He has risen indeed.  Hallaluijah!!!

Concordia was alive with the Spirit of the Lord on Easter Sunday.  Lots of joy filled our hearts and permeated the atmosphere.  Praise Be To God.

The Easter Breakfast starting at 9:15 am was enjoyed by over 50 people.  All Saints' Hall was teeming with activity and conversation.  There were delicious offerings of breakfast casseroles, fruit, pancakes, desserts and drinks.  Thank you to everyone who participated in seting up/taking down chairs and tables, providing food, participating in person and especially for those who were not able to join us we have you in your prayers.   There was a Jelly Bean Contest to guess how many jelly beans were in the jar.  The winner whose guess came closest (without going over) was April Caruso who guessed 243.  There were actually 244 - what an amazing guess.  Congratulations April.

Our next pot luck would normally be the 2nd Sunday of May; however, that is Mothers' Day.  The date of our next pot luck will be MAY 17TH after service. The theme will be Italian.  Start thinking about what fantastic dishes you'd like to bring.  I'll be sending around a sign up sheet soon.

April won the 'Guess the number of jelly beans' contest.

Playground Fun Please join us EVERY Sunday after service (weather permitting) at the playground. Children should be accompanied by an adult. This gives us another fellowship experience as the adults chit chat and the children enjoy the playground equipment.

Martin Luther:  preparation before taking Communion; the confessor may ask, or you may ask yourself:

10 - Did the Father also die for you?   No; for the Father is God only, as is the Holy Spirit. But the Son is true God and true man. He died for me and shed His blood for me.

11 - How do you know this?  From the holy Gospel and from the words of the Sacrament, and by His body and blood given me as a pledge in the Sacrament.

12 - How do these word read?   "Our Lord Jesus Christ, on the night when He was betrayed, took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to the disciples and said; 'Take, eat; this is My body, which is given for you. This do in remembrance of Me.'                                                                                                                                                                                                            "In the same way also He took the cup after supper, and when He had given thanks, He gave it to them saying, 'Drink of it, all of you; this cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you for the forgiveness of sins. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."

13 - Do you  believe, then, that the true body and blood of Christ are in the Sacrament?    Yes, I believe it.

14 - What persuades you to believe this?  The word of Christ: "Take, eat, this is My body; drink of it, alll of yu, this is My blood."

EMMANUEL DINING ROOM

Faithful Servants,
“You are the light of the world.  Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in heaven.”  Jesus spoke these words to His disciples and followers during the Sermon on the Mount.

With Good Friday and Easter Sunday fast approaching, remember all that Jesus has done for us.  And that a growing faith is a sharing faith.  And that YOU may be the only Bible that some people ever read.

On Friday, March 27th, with your casseroles and brownies, Concordia Lutheran Church and Preschool had the privilege of shining your light of Jesus’ love while feeding 187 hungry people of Wilmington at EDR.  Thanks to the cooks and bakers and to Olivia Wyckoff and Jody Bacher for serving.  Thanks to all for again helping others see Jesus through your actions.

Happy Easter,                      Dale and George

We sort and pack donations for people in need on Wednesdays 10:00am – 2:30pm and Saturdays 9am –1:30pm at the former Dansko warehouse: 8 Federal Rd, West Grove, PA, 19390. Please consider joining us, we welcome teens through adults!

Read all about OGT on the bulletin board by the library or visit our webpage for the full list of items our recipients need most, current hours of operation, and the latest updates. You may also click ORPHAN GRAIN TRAIN under the Concordia SERVICE tab for current news. Donated items should be placed in the All Saints' Hall closet (to the right as you enter the room).

Our most immediate need is for a new warehouse location as our lease expires in fall 2026! We prefer a southeastern Chester County location, or other safe neighborhood near the PA–DE state line, with 6,000 to 10,000 sq ft, a loading dock and parking for at least a dozen cars. If you have any information, please contact OGT volunteers Tom Fuesler or Carla Niesen.
