OGT Article 2026 10 (Oct)

STREAM OF CONSCIOUS

Pray for our OGT branch …

Our prospective location fell through. We must assume that means it was not God’s plan. So, we are still looking for an affordable, workable space for 2027 and beyond. Pray for us to find out what God’s plan is. More on that later in this article.

We completed the shipment to Liberia on August 5. It is still in transit. It will support the Washington School (BEE Liberia) and ministries of Pr. Koolie.

We completed a shipment to Romania on September 16. Romania borders Ukraine, Moldova, Bulgaria, Serbia, and Hungary. The port of Constanta on the Black Sea is now the primary port for shipments into Romania and Ukraine. The recipient of this shipment serves ministries within Romania.

We must shut down operations in our current warehouse before December 9.

We plan on two more shipments by Thanksgiving.

We will be sorting and packing Wednesdays and Saturdays through November 15.

We are still accepting clothing donations through October so clean out those closets quickly.

Because we are not certain of our 2027 operations, we are postponing our annual Matching Funds campaign until spring.

We are still participating in the Boscov’s Friends-Helping-Friends campaign. See Susan Bell, Rob Hall, or Linda Knoll to donate $5 to OGT and get a coupon generally[1] good for a 25% discount in person or online all-day October 21. If you buy more than $20 that day you will get back the donation or more.

We can still accept financial donations either for operations or for our building fund by mail or on the https://www.OGT.org/branches/Mid-Atlantic/ website before then.

We are still praying for God’s plan for an acceptable location before December 9th; but we are making plans to hibernate for a short while if necessary. We can have limited operations in a space as small as 3,200 square feet costing less than $2,500 per month. It needs to have heat, bathroom facilities, a drive-up door, and some parking. A loading dock and break room are pluses. If you know of such a space or know of someone who may know of one, please forward that information to me at Rob.Hall.OGT@gmail.com.

To God be the glory!
